이 연구는 고전 문학의 여러 연구 분과 중 고전 산문 분야의 연구 동향을 분석하여, 그 간의 성과를 고찰하고 앞으로의 연구 방향을 조망해 보려는 목적으로 수행되었다. 고전 문학 분과는 크게 고전 산문과 고전 시가로 나눌 수 있고, 고전 산문 분과는 다시 구비문학, 한문학, 고전소설 분야로 구분하여 볼 수 있다. 학회지의 1집~31집에 실린 논문 중 이 세 분야에 해당하는 논문을 뽑아 총61편을 선정하였다. 이 논문을 대상으로 하여 일반 현황 분석, 분야별 분석, 주제별 분석 등 세 가지 세부 영역별 분석을 실시함으로써, 각 영역의 연구 동향을 면밀히 검토하였다. 아울러 분석 과정에서 발견한 몇 가지 문제점을 제시하였는데, 이 문제를 적절하게 수정하고 보완하는 과정을 거친다면, 앞으로 진일보한 학회 운영 및 학회지 발간이 이루어질 수 있으리라 생각한다.

The purpose of this research is to survey former researches and to take a view of the direction of later researches through analyzing study trends on the field of classical prose among many branches of classical literary researches. The main branches of the classical literature are classical prose and verse, the branch of classical prose could be devided into the branches of oral literature, literature written by Chinese and classical novels once again. I select 61 theses appropriated to the three fields from the theses included in between Journal of Bangyo language and literature vol. 1 and vol. 31. I analyzed the theses by the each sides of general conditions, branches and themes so I could have examined closely the study trends of each fields. In addition, I suggest some problems which are founded through the process of analysis. I consider that management of The society of Bangyo language and literature and the publication of its journal can take a major step forward if correct and compensate the problems properly.
