이 연구에서는 지급까지 추진되었거나 앞으로 계획 중인 정부 정책과 학 계의 연구를 토대로 국내에서 논의 중인 디지털 교과서의 개념에 대해 살펴 보고, 디지털 교과서 도입으로 인해 기대되는 효과는 무엇이며 앞으로 더 해 결해야 할 과제들은 무엇인지 점검하고자 하였다. 먼저 학교 현장에 디지털 교과서가 성공적으로 정착하기 위해 범교과적 차원에서 해결해야 할 과제들 올 하드웨어적인 측면과 소프트웨어적인 측면에서 언급하였다. 또한 국어교과의 특수성을 감안할 때 범교과적 차원의 문제에 더하여 국어교과에서 더 고려해야 할 요소들도 검토해 보았다. 디지털 교과서 도입에 따라 우려되는 면이 없지는 않으나 긍정적인 측면 이 더 큰 만큼 앞으로 중점적인 연구 방향은 디지털 교과서의 장점을 극대 화하고 단점을 최소화할 수 있는 구체적인 방안, 그리고 디지털 교과서와 서책형 교과서의 유기적인 연계 방안을 모색하는 것이라고 판단된다. 국어 교과에서도 이러한 관점에서 앞으로 디지털 교과서 도입을 염두에 둔 각종 안 구를 적극 수행할 필요가 있다.

Examining the concept of and the plan for digital textbooks in Korean education based both on the policies that have been recently carried out by Korean government and on the research in this area, this study aired to examine the effects of the adoption of digital textbooks and remaining tasks to be solved in the future. Firstly discussed were the tasks to be solved at the aspects both in hardware and software across the curriculum Secondly discussed were additional tasks to be considered in adopting digital textbooks in Korean language education, Considering that digital textbooks can produce positive effects in education, and especially in Korean language education, more research needs to be carried out that can maximizes its positive effects and minimize its negative aspects.
