Compilations of female poets and their canonization, have been a hot topic in the study of female literature of Ming-qing dynasty. As a result, numbers of scholars have studied on compilations of works of female poets since the late Ming Dynasty. But, in contrast, ``mirrors`` expressed in Qian Qianyi`s Liechao Shiji have been rarely studied. There are complicated causes, but the importance of this compilation is undisputable. Compared to compilations made in Ming dynasty, Liechao Shiji was completed later, and because its editor is Qian Qianyi, one of the best scholars in the time, so it represents the recognition of literary history and criticism on female literary of main stream scholars of the time. Because of Qian Qianyi`s political status made this compilation hardly gain broad reputation, but its real power of influence was considerable. Since there are few basic studies on Liechao Shiji, this article focused on its working process, material, structure and selection standard. And it aims to examine its relation with former compilations of female poets.
