The aim of this study is to evaluate the emotional satisfaction of the driver visibility using the virtual-reality (VR) environment. In 21st century, the development of user-friendliness car design is the one of the key factors in automobile industry. This concern has prompted considering the emotional satisfaction of the user visibility such as openness, comfort, and limitation. For this issue, this study evaluated the emotional satisfaction of the user visibility in changes of the vehicle cabin design. The emotional satisfaction of the user visibility was measured using VR environment simulation, which included customized various design elements of the vehicle cabin and traffic conditions. It was identified that the widening of the upwards and downwards of the user viewing angle enhanced the emotional satisfaction of the use visibility. This study leads to the conclusion that for the development of the vehicle cabin design, the emotional satisfaction of the user visibility should be highly considered, and the widening of the user viewing angle is an important factor influencing the emotional satisfaction of the user visibility. The methodology evaluating the emotional satisfaction of the user visibility using VR environment simulation demonstrated that the sensitivity of the user visibility should be considered as one of the key elements for the development of user friendliness car design.
