대학에 입학한 외국인 학습자들은 구어나 일상적인 어휘나 조사, 연결어미등을 학습해 왔기 때문에 학술적인 글쓰기에 많은 오류를 보이고 있다. 일반목적 한국어 학습자들에게 ``말하기-듣기``가 중요한 영역이라면 학문목적 한국어학습자들에게는 ``읽기-쓰기``가 더 중요한 영역이라고 할 수 있을 것 같다. 과제나 보고서, 시험 등 대부분 대학에서 진행하고 있는 학술적 활동이 읽기와 쓰기이기 때문이다. 본고는 기존에 발행된 학문목적 쓰기 교재와 학습자들의 과제물을 검토하여``학문목적 글쓰기에 필요한 교수요목``을 체계화해 보려 했다. 분야와 영역이 다르더라도 외국인 학습자들의 글쓰기에 필요하다면 교수되어야 하고, 이런 내용은 장기적으로 학문목적 글쓰기 교재의 내용이 되어야 한다고 믿는다.학문목적 글쓰기에는 학술적인 글인 설명적 글쓰기와 논증적 글쓰기의 여러방법과 함께 이들이 아직 배우지 않은 한국어 문어체의 특징, 그리고 맞춤법과 띄어쓰기, 외래어 표기법과 같은 정서법에 해당되는 내용, 문장과 문장, 단락과 단락의 응집성을 높이는 방법도 교수되어야 한다. 또한 글쓰기 교수요목에는 대학에서 가장 기본적으로 해야 할 노트 필기하는 방법과 이를 다시 한국어 문장으로 기술할 수 있는 능력도 포함시켜야 할 것이다. 듣기의 어려움 때문에 노트필기에 대한 두려움이 가장 많은 것으로 나타난것처럼 이것에 대한 요령과 방법이 연습되지 않았을 경우에는 학년이 올라갈수록 학술적인 활동에 많은 어려움이 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this paper is to examine academic writing syllabus required by the program of KAP(Korean for academic purpose), which is analyzing academic materials dealt with university students. Especially, this paper is to clarify what is needed to improve the academic writing ability of KAP learners. The number of foreign students enrolled in Korean colleges and graduate schools have difficulties to succeed in the academic mainstream of university. The main reason is that the most of Korean language courses taken by foreign students are designed for survival or general purposes. Therefore, the academic writing and speaking skill needed in the academic programs should be taught to KAP learners. In particular, this paper on the academic writing tried to clarify what is required syllabus. This is derived by analyzing academic materials, the students` term-paper and essay. The contents of academic writing should be included a note-taking, report writing method, the difference between oral and written language, method of correct spelling and spacing etc. And also there should be included essay and report writing techniques.
