이 연구의 목적은 매체 생태학의 관점을 도입한 인터넷 매체언어교육의 내용을 구성하는 것이다. 우선 매체 생태학의 관점을 도입한다면 매체를 환경으로 인식하는 관점의 변화가 필요하다. 그리고 매체의 구조적 특성과 편향성을 이해해야 한다. 또한 매체의 역사적 발달과 그 배경을 아는 것도 필요하다. 그 밖에도 매체와 인간의 사회, 문화, 정치, 경제 등의 상호작용에 대해서도 이해해야 할 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 교육과정을 비판적으로 검토해 보았을 때 현재의 매체언어교육은 아직도 많은 부분에서 부족한 점이 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 인터넷 매체로 초점을 맞추어 본다면 인터넷 매체 환경에 대한 가시화, 인터넷 매체의 발달과 그 배경에 대한 이해, 인터넷 매체와 인간의 상호작용에 대한 교육내용이 선정되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 인터넷 매체의 구조적 특성과 편향성을 이해해야 할 필요가 있다.

This study aims at constructing the internet media language educational contents in perspectives of media ecology. First of all, the awareness have to be changed that media regards as environment in perspectives of media ecology. Second, structural features and bias of media need to be understood. Third, historic development and its background knowledge need to be recognized. And finally, the interaction between media and society, culture, politics, economy have to be understood. So, this study critically reviewed the current curriculum in this perspectives, it is known that the present media language education have lacks in many parts. Focusing on internet media, the educational contents need to be selected including the visibility of internet media environment, the understanding of internet media development and its background knowledge, the interaction between internet media and human eco-life. And the structural features and bias of internet media which is a base of these contents have to be understood.
