본 논문은 매천황현(梅泉黃玹)의 한시집(漢詩集)인 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』의 문학적 특성을 고찰하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 매천 문학의 특성을 정리하였다. 매천은 고체시보다 근체시를 주로 창작하였으며, 오언보다 칠언을 즐겨 사용하였다. 가장 선호하는 형식은 칠언율시였으며, 시의 주제는 다양하였고, 생활시도 즐겨 창작하였다. 표현적 특성은 사실적묘사(寫實的描寫)에 뛰어났다. 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』는 가로 18.1㎝, 세로 21.7㎝규격의 54쪽으로 된 친필본 서책이다. 이 서책에는 185수의 한시가 수록되어 있다. 구례 지역 한학자 최승효가 소장했었는데, 현재는 순천대 박물관이 소장하고 있다. 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』에 대한 학계소개는 2005년 6월에 김정환이 『한문학보(漢文學報)』 제12집에 『매천황현(梅泉黃玹)의 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』 연구(硏究)』라는 논문을 통해서 처음 이루어졌다. 매천이 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』를 창작할 때에는 오언을 즐겨 사용하였으며, 가장 선호하는 형식은 오언율시였다. 이러한 이유는 오언시의 절제된 형식이 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』의 성격과 보다 어울렸기 때문일 것이다. 매천은 자연을 하나의 객관적 대상물로 인정하고, 그 속에서 조화를 추구하였다. 즉, 매천은 자연을 인간에 종속된 대상이 아니라, 인간과 조화를 이루어야 하는 독립된 객관물로 인식한 것이다. 이러한 매천의 자연관이 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』의 작품 세계에도 계속되고 있다는 것을 밝혔다. 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』의 작품 세계는 세밀한 묘사가 돋보인다. 또한 특정 지역의 풍광을 사실적으로 묘사하여 현장감이 뛰어나다. 나아가 『구안실신고(苟安室新稿)』에는 특정 지역의 현장감이 만들어 낸 청신한 세계가 그려져 있다. 이것은 구안실(苟安室)이라는 場所性과 밀접한 연관을 맺는다고 보았다.

In this paper, Maecheon hwanghyeon 『Guansilsingo』 literary characteristics were examined. To this end, the nature of literature summarized Maecheon. Maecheon Owen enjoyed more chileon was used. The format is most preferred siyeoteumyeo chileon rate, the poem had a variety of topics, enjoy the creative life poem, Excelled in realistic description of the expressive characteristics. 『Guansilsingo』, an original handwriting book that had been possessed by Choi Seung-hyo, is currently owned by Sunchon National University Museum. 『Guansilsingo』, a book consisting of 54 pages with a size of 18.1 ㎝wide and 21. 7㎝long, was introduced in the academic world through a paper titled 『A Study on Maecheon Hwanghyeon`s 『Guansilsingo』by Kim Jeong-hwan published in Volume No. 12 of 『Hanmunhakbo』 in 2005. A total of 185 poems are contained 『Guansilsingo』, among them, Geumche poems are overwhelmingly more than Go poems, and Chileon is more than Oeon. In particular, it is impressive than Chileon Yulsi poems that were enjoyed by Maecheon are relatively less in the book. The current study suggested reality as an expressive characteristic of poems published in 『Guansilsingo』. Also the study mentioned that a poem and a picture through detailed and realistic description, one of characteristic of Maecheon`s poems, are still outstanding in works published in 『Guansilsingo』. 『Guansilsingo』 the detailed descriptions of the art world is remarkable, Presence and realism, through the fine details, and will acquire. The seeds of modernity as it deserves, 『Guansilsingo』 also a refreshing world is depicted. This is a place called Guansil and saw that bear a close association.
