이 연구는 청소년학생들의 열등감과 좌절증후군, 성적 건강, 성형중독 간 관계를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 중ㆍ고등학생의 지도에 있어 교육적 시사점을 찾는 것이 목적이다. 첫째, 열등감과 좌절증후군에 대한 차이분석 결과, 여학생ㆍ고등학생ㆍ하류층 학생ㆍ부모학력이 고졸이하 학생ㆍ학업수준이 하위권 학생이 더 높게 나타났다. 성적 건강에 대한 차이분석 결과에서는 여학생ㆍ고등학생ㆍ상류층 학생ㆍ부모학력이 고졸이하 학생ㆍ성적이 상위권 학생이 더 높게 나타났다. 성형 중독에 대한 차이분석 결과에서는 여학생만 더 높을 뿐 다른 하위변인들에서는 모두 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 열등감과 좌절증후군ㆍ성형중독 간, 좌절증후군과 성형중독 간, 성적 건강과 성형중독 간 상관관계분석에서는 모든 변인들 간에 정적(+)상관관계로 나타났다. 그러나 열등감ㆍ좌절증후군과 성적 건강 간상관관계분석에서는 부적(-)상관관계로 나타났다. 셋째, 열등감 중 학업능력은 좌절증후군과 성형중독에, 부모학력 및 직업은 이성적 건강에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 열등감은 성형중독에 직접적으로 영향을 미치며, 좌절증후군과 성적 건강을 통해서도 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of the inferiority complex, frustration syndrome, sexual health and cosmetic surgery addiction of adolescent students in an effort to give some educational suggestions on guidance for secondary students. First, it`s found that the students who were girls, who were high school students, who belonged to the lower classes, whose parents received high school or lower education and who were in the lower tiers had a more inferiority complex and suffered a more frustration syndrome than their counterparts. Second, as a result of analyzing the correlation between inferiority complex and cosmetic surgery addiction, between frustration syndrome and cosmetic surgery addiction and between sexual health and cosmetic surgery addiction, there was a statistically significant positive(+) correlation between all the variables. But inferiority complex and frustration syndrome had a statistically significant negative correlation to sexual health. Third, inferiority complex and frustration syndrome were under the great influence of learning capability, and the academic credential and occupation of the parents had a lot of impact on sexual health. Cosmetic surgery addiction was affected a lot by learning capability. Fourth, inferiority complex had a direct impact on cosmetic surgery addiction, and the former exerted an indirect influence on the latter through frustration syndrome and sexual health as well.
