이 글은 계몽주의의 영향을 받은 현대인들에게 무의미한 사상으로 간주되는 유대-기독교의 사상 중 특히 이웃사랑계명의 현대철학적 의미를 살펴본 후 그것이 도시공동체 건설의 원리로서 오늘날에도 여전히 유의미함을 밝히는 것을 목표로 삼는다. 이웃사랑계명에 대한 현대철학자의 해석 중 특히 지젝의 설명은 사실상 유대－기독교 전통을 맑스－레닌주의 이론에 종속시키는 환원적 해석에 불과하다는 점을 보이고, 더 나아가 지젝의 벤야민 해석도 그러한 관점에서 제시된다는 점을 밝힌다. 이러한 비판과 더불이 이 글은 보다 적극적으로 이웃사랑계명이 어떤 관점에서 수용되어야 하는지 특히 라깡의 윤리학의 관점에서 정치신학과 정신분석의 접점을 밝히고 이 계명이 갖는 도시구성의 원리로서의 의의에 대해 해명한다.

This paper aims to take a review on the Judo-Christian Tradition, especially the commandment of the love of the neighbor, which is regarded as meaningless by the modern men influenced by the atheistic Enlightenment. This paper tries to show that above all, Zizek`s explanation on the commandment among others actually and purposely reduced the commandment of the love of the neighbor on the revolutionary ideology of the Marx-Lenism, and that Zizek`s comments on the Benjamin`s political theology goes the same path. With that kind of criticism, this paper also tries positively to explain from which perspective the love- thy-neighbor-commandment is to be received, and furthermore it will show the touch point of the political theoloy and Lacan`s psychoanalysis, and tries to explain the meaning of the commandment of the love of the neighbor as the principle of the construction of the city.
