지식의 실체가 다소 추상적이긴 하지만 그 범주는 초보적인 수준에서부터 전문적인 수준까지 다양한 층위에 걸쳐 있다. 문학교육에서의 지식은 명제적 지식에 대한 편향성이 두드러지고, 교육 현장에서 이를 실현하는 방안도 이러한 부분에 초점이 맞추어져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 지식에 대한 교육학 분야와 국어교육 분야의 기존 논의를 바탕으로 현대시 교육에서 문학 지식이 확장되어 적용되기 위한 방안을 모색해 보았다. 문학 지식의 방향성을 반성적? 개인적구성적절차적확산적총체적 지식 등으로 설정하고, 이러한 지식의 면면이 현대시 교육 분야에 적용될 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보았다. 또한 문학 지식의 절차화, 구체화, 개방화를 통해 학습자의 문학 능력을 최대한 이끌어낼 수 있는 방안에 대해서도 점검해 보았다. 현대시 교육 분야에서 지식의 속성과 적용 방안을 점검해 본 것처럼 향후 국어교육 각 영역별로 지식의 방향성과 속성에 대한 세부적인 점검이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이를 통해 바람직한 지식 교육이 이루어질 수 있는 토대를 마련할 수 있을 것이기 때문이다.

True nature of knowledge is a little abstract, but category of it is spreaded at several layers from the beginner level to professional level. Knowledge at the literature education is biased on the conceptual knowledge, and the method to realize at site of education is also focused on the conceptual knowledge. This study finds a way of application to extend and apply literature knowledge at the education of modern poetry based on existing discussion of the education and korean language education area for the knowledge. It sets the direction of literature knowledge on self-examination, individual, composition, procedure, extension and overall knowledge. Also it checks a way to derive the leaner`s most literature ability through proceduralization, actualization, and open of literature knowledge. Like checking the knowledge` characteristic and application method at the area of modern poetry education, detailed checking needs for the directivity and properties of knowledge at several areas of korean language education. Through this, the ground for training of desirable knowledge can be prepared.
