이 글에서는 전략적 제재로서 대중가요를 채택하여 이를 중심으로 읽기 및 글 쓰기 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 대학의 교양국어교육은 달라진 교육환경의 반영, 교육 목적에 따른 새로운 제재의 탐색, 그리고 미디어 읽기 교육이라는 세 가지에 목표에 의거하여 대중가요를 전략적 제재의 하나로 수용할 필요가 있다. 이때 대중가요는 시적 콘텐츠의 대표적 콘텐츠로서 위상을 가져야 한다. 미디어 교육의 경우, 직접적이고 현실적인 작품들을 통해 그것을 비판적으로 읽는 방법을 가르치는 것이 더 효과적일 수 있기 때문에, 전략적 텍스트의 도입이필요하다. 대중가요는 학생들과 매우 친숙할 뿐 아니라 상징, 비유, 이미지 등 고도의 시적인 표현이 쓰인 것이 많아, 이러한 표현을 잘 활용하는 미디어 읽기로 나아가는 바탕으로 삼기에 적합하다. 아울러 짧은 시간에 읽기가 가능하고, 작품선택의 폭이 넓어 대상 연령을 고려한 다양한 접근이 가능하다는 장점도 지니고 있다. 서정적 혹은 독백적 성격이 강한 가요의 경우, 시를 읽을 때와 마찬가지로 상징이나 비유, 이미지 등의 표현에 주의하면서 비유적 표현이나 상징적 표현들이 함축하는 의미를 찾아 읽는 작업이 필요하다. 이 글에서는 토의를 통해 학생들이 의미에 도달할 수 있는 과정을 제시하였는데, 이 과정에서 시적 용어들, 예를 들어 상징, 비유 등의 의미도 알게 할 수 있어서 효과적이었다. 한편, 서사적 성격이 강한 것들의 경우라 해도 본격적인 서사물과는 달라서, 많은 부분들이 빈 칸으로 남아있기 때문에 빈틈으로 남아 있는 부분들을 채워가며 읽어야 한다. 이 글에서는 빈틈을 메워 이야기를 쓰는 방안을 제시하였는데, 이 방안은 텍스트의 빈틈을 메워 읽는 훈련을 유도하여 사사적 가요를 적절히 읽게 하는 데도 효과적이지만, 이를 바탕으로 글쓰기를 유도하는 데도 효과적임을 살핀 바 있다. 이처럼 가요 읽기에 접근하면, 그것을 단지 노래가 아니라 현재의 나를 돌아보게 하는 대상으로 활용할 수 있고, 읽고 듣고 말한 내용을 글감으로 삼을 수 있기 때문에, 효과적인 글쓰기 지도가 가능하다. 아울러 세상과 사회에 대한 비판적 시각도 가지게 할 수 있다. 이 글에는 지식을 전달하면서도 학습자의 참여를 유도하고 비판적 시각을 기르는 데까지 나아갈 수는 없을까 하는 연구자이자 교육자로서 필자의 문제 제기와 고민이 담겨 있다. 이 글은 필자가 선정한 가요들을 대상으로 하였으나, 학습방안 자체는 여러 가요 작품에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 본다.

This paper is presenting a teaching method of reading out and writing model using Korean modern popular songs, and to demonstrate this is an effective education law to be able to improve readout ability. In daily level ``reading`` in the present age is used widely to the meaning that has read an aspect and stream existing to the depths of phenomena to the critical veins.There is an issue to point that a change or a expansion conceptual these readouts were requesting a change to educational field. I had let myself overcome the problem that the general education in university is having, and I have developed a teaching method of reading out and writing model using Korean modern popular songs education to be suitable for modern stream, and then I got out in recognitions to have been fixed regarding Korean modern popular songs, and you inspire participation of student and will. Also, development of the class model that teachers refer, and I could utilize it. Reading of Korean modern popular songs is devoted delivering knowledge, and read meaning of a depth level, go forward to not being things as reading minutely a text so long as I nourish critical faculty and creative thinking faculty. This paper present the education model of the primary level (reading intensively), a secondary level (reading depth meaning), a third level (readout a social and cultural connection), and a step-by-step to the educational goal, and indicator of concrete education plan and interpretation.
