Human love animals. On the other hand, humans are afraid of the animals. Humans and animals must struggle with each other. Old people regret that humans are killing animals. This study is reviewing these points. I will summarize the contents discussed in this study. First, the use of animal based on Confucian ideas that I take it for granted. Regret that killing animals based on the ideas of Buddhism, on the other hand. Humans hate a louse. But Lee GjuBo(李奎報) feels compassion for a louse. Insights about the fate of the human sorrows is locked at the same time. As a result of sketching out the general features of the symbols, animals symbolizes ambivalence. Literatures with subject matters of animals express variety of moods, such as sadness of the abominable cruelty of human life. So to say, animals takes a significant part in Korean classic literature.
