본 연구는 인성교육 덕목 요소를 체계적으로 범주화하고, 인성교육 방법을 모색하며, 교육계획안에 인성교육 덕목 내용 요소를 연계시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 유아 교사들의 인성교육 덕목에 대한 이해와 적용실태를 파악하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 연구목적을 위하여 문헌연구를 통하여 인성 교육 관련 덕목 내용요소를 추출하였고, 유아교육 현장 교사들의 인성덕목에 대한 개념이해와 적용실 태 파악을 위하여 908명의 유아교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인성덕목 범주는 기본생활습관, 사회정서, 윤리도덕 덕목으로 구분 하였다. 둘째, 인성교육 방안으로 협의적 및 광의적 방법을 제안하였고, 연간, 월간, 주간, 일일계획 안 및 단위활동 계획안에 따른 인성교육 연계방안을 제시하였다. 셋째, 유아 인성교육 방법으로 바깥 놀이, 전래놀이, 숲 활동, 역할놀이, 협동학습, 토론하기, 발표하기, 노래 부르기, 현장학습, 스토리텔 링, 자연체험활동, 요가 및 명상 등이 제시되었다. 넷째, 유아교육 현장 교사들의 인성덕목에 대한 개념이해와 현장 적용실태를 볼 때 교사의 기본적 지식, 자질, 연륜이 중요하며, 무엇보다 교사의 사랑과 열정이 가장 중요함을 알 수 있다. 정리정돈, 우정, 공중도덕 등에 대한 개념이해와 현장적용은 모두 잘 하고 있고, 절약, 약속, 타문화 존중 등은 개념이해는 잘 하고 있으나 현장적용은 잘 하지 못하고 있었으며, 교사들이 가장 중요하게 생각하는 10개 인성교육 덕목요소는 사랑, 예절, 배려, 정 직, 신뢰, 책임, 질서, 감사, 자아존중, 인내 순으로 나타났다.
This study was extracted from the human nature character that included the content elements of the curriculum. When utilized the early childhood teachers could implement the education plan and explore how to use this category while examining the character virtue elements for conceptual understanding and field application status. This study investigated the literature related to the character virtue and conducted a survey for 908 early childhood teachers. The results of the study were as follows. First, the human nature character could be divided into three areas. They were basic life habit, social emotional, and moral virtue. Second, suggested how to link the human nature character to teaching-learning plans for young children that included of yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily content. Third, proposed of methods related to the human nature character such as out door play, korean traditional play, forest activity, role play, cooperative play, discussion activity, speaking activity, singing songs, field work, story telling, eco experience activity, yo-ga and so on. Forth, conducted a survey to conceptual understandings and application of the character virtue. The survey sought to rank the many elements of the character. The love of moral virtue was ranked the highest.
