본 연구는 3～5세 누리과정? 운영에 있어서 교육 시간 기준의 정비를 위해 문헌 연구를 통해 OECD 주요국 취학전 교육의 연간 수업일수, 1일 수업시간, 무상교육 시간을 비교하였다. 그 결과 첫째, OECD 주요국 취학전 교육의 연간 수업일수는 주로 180일, 190일, 200일 등 차이가 있었다. 학교 체제에서, 일수나 주수 방식으로, 국가나 주의 최소 기준 규정이 법령에 명시되었다. 둘째, OECD 주요국의 취학전 교육 1일 수업 시간은 반일제(3, 4, 5시간), 종일제(7, 8시간 등), 반일제와 종일제 두 가지로 운영되는 국가로 나뉘었다. 1일 수업시간 규정은 일정 시간 수 기준으로 표기된다. 셋째, OECD 주요국 대부분이 법적 근거로 취학전 보편 무상교육이 3년, 2년, 1년씩 실시되고 있었으며 1일 무상교육 시간은 종일인 몇 개국을 제외하고 대부분 반일이었다.

This study examined pre-school yearly school days, daily school hours, and free education hours of the main OECD countries by comparing the related documents. It also aimed to establish the standards of the education hours for Nuri Curriculum of Age 3 to 5. As a result, first, pre-school yearly school days of OECD countries were reported as 180, 190 or 200 days. In school system, the minimum standard regulations were stated by law as numbers of days or weeks. Secondly, OECD countries` pre-school daily school hours were defined as a half day (3, 4, or 5 hours), all day (7 or 8 hours) and the combination of a half day and all day. The regulations of daily school hours were stated in a certain number of hours. Lastly, most of the main OECD countries were providing free pre-school education for 3, 2, or 1 year on the legal basis. Daily free education hours were mostly for a half day except a few countries with all day.
