이 연구의 목적은 좋은 수업의 의미 그리고 좋은 수업 수행의 조건과 방해 요인에 대한 특수교사들의 인식을 탐색하여 특수교육의 수업 전문성과 관련한 연구와 실천에 기초 정보를 제공 하는데 있다. 이러한 연구 목적에 따라 특수학교 교사 11명과 특수학교 9명을 5개 그룹으로 나누어 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 하였다. 연구 결과, 특수교사들은 학생의 참여로 활기가 도는 수업, 현실 생활과 관련되는 경험중심의 수업, 학생에게 적합한 목표가 달성하는 수업, 교사의 역량이 발휘되는 수업을 좋은 수업이라고 인식하였다. 좋은 수업을 방해하는 요인으로는 학생 능력의 편차, 교사의 열정 소진, 과중한 교사 역할, 평가 기회 및 정보의 부족, 교육과정 구성과 적용의 어려움으로 나타났다. 또한 특수교사들은 좋은 수업이 실현되기 위해서는 자발적인 수업컨설팅의 활성화, 학생에 대한 이해와 관심, 교사 자신의 지적 호기심과 수업에 대한 열정. 교사 간 정보의 교류와 협력이 필요하다고 하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 특수교육 현장에서 수업의 질 향상을 위해 고려할 사항과 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to offer basic information on research and practice related to teaching professionalism in special education by exploring special education teacheers` awareness of the meaning of good teaching and the conditions and constraints of implementing good teaching. According to the purpose of this study, focus group interviews have been conducted for five groups which consist of eleven special class teachers and nine special school teachers. As a result of the study, special education teachers understand good teaching takes place when students participate actively, the teaching content is based on experiences form real life, goals appropriate for students are achieved, and teachers can cemonstrate their competence. The constraints of good teaching are students`s low levels, teachers` insincere attitudes, teachers` heavy responsibilities, insufficient assessment opportunities and information, and difficulties in curriculum-making and its application. Special education teachers also argued that it is essential to activate teaching monitoring system, to understand students better, to have intellectual curiosity and passion towards teaching, and to exchange information and cooperate with other thachers. With the basis of this result, this study discusses considerations and implications to improve the quality of teaching in special education sites.
