이 연구에서는 앞으로의 국어교육 지형도를 고려하여 매체언어교육의 개념과 존재 방식에 대해 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이는 매체언어교육을 재정의하면서 컨버전스로 획기적 발전을 이루고 있는 매체 기술을 국어교육으로 융복합 할 수 있는 방향을 모색하는 것이었다. 매체언어교육 논의가 이제는 어느 정도 정착되었다고도 할 수 있지만, 다른 한편으로는 아직도 분명하지 않은 지점들이 있다.국어교육의 본질에 관계되는 정체성 문제라든가 국어교육 고유의 교육 내용에 대한 고민들이 그것이다. 매체 기술 분야 역시 패러다임적 전환이 이루어지고 있어 국어교육에 매체, 언어, 문화를 융복합적으로 수용하는 시각은 앞으로 더욱더 필요하다. 매체언어교육에 대한 고민은 다른 한편으로 국어과 교육과정의 급격한 변화도 관련이 있다. 국어과 교육과정의 급격한 변화는 국어교과학의 구성, 국어교육학의 존립과 정체성을 고민하게 할 정도의 큰 문제였다고 판단된다. 이러한 과정을 볼 때 매체기술 환경의 변화, 국어교육의 변화를 함께 고려하는 융복합적 시각은 매우 유용할 것이라 기대한다.

This thesis aims to research what media-language education means and how it exists in the area of Korean language and literature education considering the geography of the changing Korean education hereafter. That is to say, making the redefinition of the media-language education and seeking for the convergence between media technology and Korean language and literature education. In the area of the media technology also, the paradigm shift came to and the perspective of convergence is needed more and more in Korean education. The concern about the media-language education is related with the sudden change of the Korean language and literature education in the national curriculum. So this process shows the convergence viewpoint is very useful and promising considering both the change of the media technology and Korean language and literature education.
