본 논문의 목적은 TMT의 국제적 노출이 기업의 전략적 유연성에 미치는 효과를 연구하는 것이다. 또한 상황변수인 ``TMT 보상``이 TMT의 국제적 노출과 기업의 전략적 유연성간의 관계에 미치는 조절효과에 대해서 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, TMT의 국제적 노출이 기업의 전략적 유연성에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 ``TMT 보상``은 TMT의 국제적 노출과 기업의 전략적 유연성간의 관계를 조절하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 대한 시사점과 미래연구 방향에 대해서 토의하였다.

This study proposes that the international exposure of the top executives (i.e., TMT) is an important antecedent to the strategic flexibility of firms. Additionally, I examine the moderating role of TMT compensation for the TMT international exposure strategic flexibility relationship. Based on a sample of 250 firms, I find TMT international exposure has a positive effect on the strategic flexibility of the firm. However, I did not find any evidence to support the moderating role of TMT compensation. I discuss implications and directions for future research.
