In spite of that Chinese character has strokes of beauty, people think that the letter is complicated and difficult to write. The birth of a new idea that Amoy language can be written by Baihuazi of Roman alphabet opened the Chinese`s eye to a shift in thinking about the character. The greatest achievements of modern Western Protestant missionaries in Chinese society was initiating the fluctuations of these ekeuritwireu.. Modern Western missionaries in Amoy area, left many accomplishments in writing and translating of the Bible and religious books. They also published textbook for foreigners to learn Amoy language and left many achievements in publishing dictionary and phonological research area. In addition, they left achievement in publishing newspapers which is the marker of modernization. They seeded their ideas and thoughts on the chinese society by exchange with the chinese intellectuals.
