본 연구에서는 장르주의 쓰기 이론에 기반하여, 번역 기사문을 대상으로 원문의 내용과 독자가 속한 담화 공동체의 담화 관습, 기사문이라는 장르의 텍스트 구조 및 특성을 고려하면서 영한 번역 기사문의 다시쓰기 양상을 분석하였다. 특히 텍스트의 구성 양식과 언어적인 표현 양상의 분석에 초점을 맞추었다. 2장에서는 본 논의의 이론적 배경이 되는 장르주의 쓰기 이론을 번역 글쓰기의 측면에서 개관하였다. 3장에서는 장르주의에 입각하여 본고의 연구대상인 기사문의 장르적 특성을 고찰하였으며, 4장에서는 3장의 내용을 바탕으로 하여 동일한 원문을 여러 번역 기사문에서 어떻게 재구성하고 재표현하는지 실제 텍스트 자료를 대상으로 분석하였다. 기사문의 텍스트 구조가 장르 지식과 관련하여 어떻게 재구성되었는지 비교하였고, 기사문의 특성이자 요건인 사실성, 명료성, 간단성, 객관성을 중심으로 이들이 원문의 언어 표현 및 독자가 속한 담화 공동체의 언어적 담화 관습과의 상호작용 속에서 실제 번역 기사문에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지 분석하였다.

This paper analyzed aspect of rewriting in English-Korean translated news articles, based on genre-based writing theory, as considering contents of source text, the linguistic discourse convention and sociocultural context in audience`s discourse community, and text structure and characters of news article genre. I specially focused on the structure and aspect of linguistic expression of texts. In chapter 2, I surveyed genre-based writing theory which is the theoretical background of this study in aspect of translation writing. In chapter 3, I examined the properties of news articles genre, and in chapter 4, analyzed aspects of reconstruction, paraphrasing and shift from one source text to target texts. I compared how the textual structures of translated news articles were reconstructed with reference to knowledge on genre, and analyzed how the requisites as well as properties of news articles-facticity, clarity, conciseness and objectivity- are reflected in translated news articles in interaction with linguistic expression of source text and discourse tradition of discourse community to which expected audience belong.
