이 연구는 내용 생성의 한 전략으로서 자기 질문 전략을 활용한 구두 작문의 효과를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 충남 지역 초등학교 6학년 학생 13명을 연구 대상으로 하였으며, 2012년 10월 29일에서 11월 1일에 걸쳐 학생 글에 대한 평가, 인터뷰, 설문조사 및 관찰등의 방법으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 구두 작문을 한 집단이 일반 작문을 한 집단보다 전체적인 평균 점수는 높았으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 발견하지는 못하였다. 그러나 내용의 풍부성을 평가한 항목의 경우 구두 작문의 처치 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 내용의 풍부성은 사전 검사의 평균이 1.29이고 사후검사의 평균이 3.00으로, t값이 -2.521, 유의확률 .045를 보여 사전 검사와 사후 검사의 평균 차이가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이로부터 구두 작문은 내용 영역 중에서도 특히 글의 내용을 생성하고 마련하는 데 의미 있는 전략이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 학생들의 인터뷰와 관찰 결과를 통해서는 구두 작문에 참여한 학생들은 글쓰기를 재미있어 하고, 글쓰기에 적극적으로 참여한다는 것을 발견하였다. 구두 작문이 쓰기 효능감을 높이고 긍정적인 쓰기 태도를 형성하는 데에도 도움이 된다는 것을 확인하였다.

This paper aims to investigate the effect of oral composition focusing on self-question strategy as one of the strategies for content generation. To achieve this, students`` writings were assessed, interviewed, questioned, and observed after oral composition was conducted with targeting thirteen sixth graders in elementary school in Chungnam area. The results of its research work show that these are not statistically significant though the group that did oral composition is higher than other group`s average. However, the item about content abundance revealed the effect of treatments for oral composition. Content abundance shows the gap between pretest and posttest is statistically significant. Out of this, It was founded that oral composition is especially significant strategy, of all the domain of content, for generating and arranging content. And It was discovered that students who participated in oral composition enjoy writing and actively participate in writing. Also, It was verified that oral composition help students to enhance writing efficacy and build positive attitudes towards writing.
