이 글은 공주교대 3학년 4개 반 135명을 대상으로 2007년 2학기 7주동안 서체의 구조를 탐구하고 글씨쓰기 기능을 습득하여 글쓰기 능력을 향상시킨 결과를 분석한 보고이다. 학생들은 지난 8월 말부터 10월 첫 주까지 7주 동안 표준 서체 훈련, 눈뜨기와 틀보기 교수-학습으로 공간 지각과 관련이 깊은 글쓰기의 사고 기능을 점진적으로 신장시킬 수 있었다. 서체 탐구의 핵심은 임의체[비표준서체]의 특성을 간추려 유형화하는 작업이다. 서체[글씨]의 구조, 음운[자모]의 결합, 점획[자모]의 크기, 음운[자모]의 각도, 음운[자모]의 대칭, 어절 사이[띄어쓰기]의 공간을 조작하여 표준화하는 기능 훈련은 탐구의 핵심 요소이다. 그런데 이와 같이 서체의 구조를 임의로 쓰는 예비교사의 담문에는 역시 문장 기술에의 문제가 깃들어 있었다. 이런 문제를 공간 지각, 담문 구성, 시간 지각, 갈래특성, 어휘 선택, 표기 규칙으로 유형화할 수 있다. 이러한 임의의 비표준 서체를 탐구하고 훈련하여 기능이 정교화하면 그에 비례하여 글쓰기 기능이 향상되었다. 이 글은 글씨쓰기의 기능에 비례하여 사고를 발달시킬 수 있다는 가설을 입증하는 구체적인 연구 결과이다. 좀더 치밀한 후속 연구로 글쓰기의 전략 개발에 힘쓰고자 한다.

This thesis is to report how the writing skill has improved by recognizing right structures of all letters and educating fundamental handwriting techniques with 135 students from 4 junior classes, in 7 weeks during second semester of 2007, from Gongju National University. It is clear that the writing skill of participated students has highly developed during 7 weeks of an intensively educated period with the fundamentals of handwriting and the perceiving of letter`s frame in deep relation to the recognition of letters` right position and the structure from the end of August through the first week of October. The main purpose of handwriting research is to classify the nonstandard types of handwriting. The core values are all about the standardizing the undefined handwriting types by understanding the combination, the size, the angle, and the parallel of vowels and consonants, a syllable structure of handwriting and a blank space of between words. 6 typed problems referred to perception of space, plot of text, perception of time, character of genre, word choice, and the rules of orthography may occur when the Pre-Educators` scripts written. The writing skill has totally improved once the function elaborated by approaching the handwriting standards and repeated technical practice. This text is a concrete research result that proves the hypothesis; thinking skills are developed and sophisticated in proportion to handwriting skills. A delicate following research will be appreciated for the better writing skill development.
