한국어 작문학에서 간과하고 있는 개념어의 유용성을 환기하고 외국인 학습자의 한국어 작문 과정을 분석하여 기존 플라워·헤이즈 모델을 보완하고자 한 것이 본고의 목적이다. 사고 구술 실험 결과 본고는 모국어의 사고를 한국어로 번역하는 외국인 필자의 글쓰기 과정을 분석하여 헤이즈·플라워(1980) 모델의 공백부분을 보완하였고, 작성하기와 재고하기 사이에 장기기억의 수사적 지식으로부터 이어지는 화살표를 추가하였다. 또한 한국어 작문 과정의 나선형적 원리를 ‘환-하-다’의 비유적 동사로 개념화하였다. 초보 필자는 먼저 한국어라는 문식성의 원리를 깨우쳐 자신의 장기기억에 저장된 언어 지식을 탐색해 ‘환’기시켜야 하고, 중급 필자는 여러번의 연습을 거쳐 한국어 작문에 익숙해지도록 과제를 수행, 내용을 문어적 표현으로 재조직‘하’여야 하며, 고급 필자는 자신의 작문 실력을 유지·향상시키기 위해 새로 익힌 수사적 전략을 적용하여 자신의 글쓰기 능력을 ‘다’시 갱신하는 작업을 끊임없이 수행하여야 한다. 이 원리는 개별 텍스트의 구성 원리로도 적용할 수 있다. 한국어 작문의 개별텍스트는 일반적으로 서론에서 주제와 관련된 논의를 ‘환’기함으로써 독자의 관심을 유도하고, 본론에서는 주된 논의를 수행‘하’며, 결론에서 ‘다’시 한 번 해당 주제를 환기하고 향후의 진전된 논의를 남겨두는 열린 구조를 지향한다.

The ultimate goal of this paper is complementing the blank of the writing model by Hayes & Flower(1980) and presenting a new frameworks of Korean Composition by analysing the protocol research recording. In the model, Planning has generating, organizing, and goal setting process; Reviewing has reading and editing process, but Translating does not have any sub-process. According to the result of our protocol research, this paper propose three sub-process of Searching, Reorganizing, and Rhetoric strategy to fill the Translating process. We also propose to add another arrow between the Translating and the Reviewing process in that model. Therefore the previous model has to be revised as the [FIGURE 2] in this paper. The frameworks as like the conceptual word ``Hwan-Ha-Da``, which means ``bright``, show us the development process of the composition skill. And this frameworks can also explain the role of the each constitute part of the text.
