본 연구는 성별에 따라 청소년이 지각한 부모의 양육행동이 자기통제력과 공격성에 미치는 영향이 어떠한지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도에 소재한 3개의 중학교에 재학 중인 남자청소 년 190명, 여자청소년 180명 총 370명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 부모의 양육행동이 청소년의 자기통제력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면, 남자청소년은 아버지의 수용적인 행동과 어머니의 긍정적인 의사소통을 지각할수록, 여자청소년은 아버지 와 어머니의 의사소통이 긍정적일수록 자기통제력이 높아졌다. 둘째, 부모의 양육행동이 청소년의 공격성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면, 남자청소년은 아버지와 어머니의 의사소통이 긍정적일수록, 여자 청소년은 아버지의 수용적인 양육행동과 어머니의 의사소통을 긍정적으로 지각할수록 공격성이 낮아졌다. 따라서 부모의 수용적인 양육행동과 긍정적인 의사소통이 청소년의 자기통제력을 향상시켜 주고 공격성을 완화시켜준다는 것을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate influence of parenting behavior perceived by adolescents upon self-control and aggression according to gender. Subjects were total 370 students (190 male and 180 female) of three middle schools in Gyeonggido. Data were collected by questionnaire survey. Data were analyzed by the multiple regression analysis, mean and standard deviation. The results were as follows. First, That was, as male adolescents perceive acceptance behavior of father and positive communication of mother better, it gave positive influences on self-control. As communication with father and mother were more positive, it gave positive influence on adolescents` self-control. Second, That is, as communication with father and mother was positive for male adolescents, their aggression was lower. When female adolescents positively perceive embracing parenting behavior and communication with mother, their aggression was lower. Accordingly, that was, embracing parenting behavior and positive communication with parents improved self-control of adolescents and relieved their aggression. Through this, this study identified the importance of parenting behavior to problems of adolescents and suggested meaningful implications in the theoretical and practical aspects of adolescent counseling.
