본 연구는 중학생, 고등학생 및 대학생의 하나님 이미지가 노인부양의식에 미치는 영향에서 부모지지의 매개효과를 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 전국 청소년 604명(중?고등학생 272명, 대학생 332명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 하나님 이미지 측정도구는 Richard T. Lawrence(1997)가 제작한 것을 김난예(2002)가 타당화 과정을 거쳐 우리나라에 맞게 수정, 보완하여 재구성한 것을 사용하였다. 노인부양의식 측정도구는 Jacob Tuckman과 Irving Lorge(1953)가 개발한 척도를 이영길(2006)이 우리나라 상황에 맞게 타당화한것이며, 부모지지를 측정하기 위해 G. K. Bowen과 M. V. Chapman (1996)이 개발한 도구를 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 12.0과 AMOS 4.0 프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본 t-검증(independent t-test)과 일원배치분산분석(One-way ANOVA)을 하였고, 구조방정식모델을 통해 각 경로계수를 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따라서는 남자가 여자보다 정서적 노인부양의식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또 학년이 높을수록 신체적 노인부양의식이 높았다. 기독교신앙 여부에 따라서는 노인부양의식에 차이가 없었으나 구원의 확신 여부에 따라서는 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 구원의 확신을 가진 경우 정서적 노인부양의식이 높았다. 조부모와 동거경험 간에서 동거경험이 있는 경우 신체적 노인부양의식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 하나님 이미지는 노인부양의식에 정적(＋) 영향을 미치며, 이는 하나님 이미지가 높으면 노인부양의식도 높아지는 것을 의미한다. 셋째, 하나님 이미지는 부모지지와 노인부양의식에 직접적 영향을 미쳤고, 노인부양의식에는 직접적, 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 하나님 이미지가 노인부양의식에 미치는 영향에서 부모지지가 매개역할을 하는 것으로 검증되었다. 본 연구결과는 노인부양의식에 대한 후속연구와 부모-자녀관계, 청소년의 노인부양의식 향상을 위한 상담의 시사점 및 실천적 방안에 기초자료를 제공한다.

This study analyzes the mediating effect of supporting one`s parents in the effect of God-image among middle school, high school, and college students on their attitudes toward supporting senior citizens. We surveyed 272 middle and high school students and 332 college students. Overall, male respondents have more positive attitudes than female respondents toward supporting seniors emotionally. Grade was associated with more positive attitudes toward supporting seniors physically. Conviction of salvation, not Christianity, predicts attitudes toward supporting seniors; that is, those with conviction of salvation tend to have more positive attitudes toward supporting seniors emotionally. Those who have lived with their grandparents have more positive attitudes toward supporting seniors physically. God-image positively impacts students`attitudes toward supporting seniors. God-image has a direct effect s on supporting seniors; this verifies the mediating role of supporting one`s parents in the effect of God-image on the students`attitudes toward supporting seniors. This study provides a basis for subsequent research on attitudes toward supporting seniors and has practical implications for counseling on improving parent-child relationships and youths`attitudes toward supporting seniors.
