본 연구의 목적은 Sutin과 Robins(2007)가 자서전적 기억의 현상학적 특성을 측정하기 위해 개발한 기억 경험 질문지(Memory Experiences Questionnaire; 이하 MEQ)를 한국어로 번안한 후 신뢰도 및 구인 타당도를 검토하여 한국판 MEQ를 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 대학생 347명을 대 상으로 한국판 MEQ를 실시 하였다. 그 결과 한국판 MEQ 문항 분석에서 문항들의 양호도를 검토하고 적합한 내적 일치 계수, 문항-하위요 인 총점 상관을 보여 우수한 신뢰도를 지니고 있음이 확인되었다. 구인 타당도 검증을 위해 원 척도에서와 동 일한 구조 모형을 설정하여 확인적 요인분석을 실 시한 결과, 원척도와 동일하게 모든 요인 간 상호 상관된 10요인으로 이루어진 모델의 적합도가 가장 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 연구의 의의와 제한점을 기술하고 후속 연구에 대한 제안을 논의하였다.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the validity and the reliability of a Korean version of the Memory Experiences Questionnaire (K-MEQ). The MEQ (Sutin & Robins, 2007) is a self-report questionnaire measuring the phenomenology of autobiographical memory and that has 10 relevant dimensions: Vividness, Coherence, Accessibility, Time Perspective, Sensory Details, Visual Perspective, Emotional Intensity, Sharing, Distancing, and Valence. A total of 347 undergraduate and graduate students in Korea participated in the study. Participants were asked to recall the most traumatic or negative stressful experience vividly and then completed K-MEQ. All items showed adequate mean, standard deviation, internal consistency and item-total correlations. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the ten factor structure of the K-MEQ and all factors were correlated one another. In conclusion, the K-MEQ is a valid measure of ten dimension autobiographical memory in a Korean population. Results were also discussed in relations to the potential utility of the scale.
