본 연구는 고학력 전문직 여성들이 취업활동을 하면서 경험하는 내용들을 심층적으로 이해하고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 직장 경력 5-10년 사이의 고학력 전문직 여성 11명을 대상으로 일대일 면접을 하였고, 합의적질적방법(CQR)을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 진로기대, 진로선택, 직 업인으로서의 경험, 진로경험에 대한 의미화, 직장생활 중 경험한 진로장벽, 직업관, 진로포부 실현 과정에서 활용한 본인의 자원 등의 7개 영역이 추출되었고, 각 영역별로 다양한 하위 범주들이 함께 산출되었다. 연구 참여자들은 입직 기에 높은 성취 기대를 했으나 출산 및 육아 문제를 경험 하면서 입직 초기의 진로기대를 변경했다는 진술이 전형적으로 나타났다. 또한 참여자 전원은 취업 중에 업무에 대한 흥미와 자신감, 실망과 좌절을 동시에 경험하였고, 전형적으로는 여성 직업인으로 서 한계를 느꼈으며 이는 참여자들에게 진로장벽으로 인식되었다. 참여자들은 진로과정의 어려움에 대해 절충으로 대처한다는 반응이 일반적이었고, 진로경험에 대해 만족하거나 중립적인 평가를 하 는 것은 전형적인 빈도로 나타났다. 또한 열심히 최선을 다하는 성실한 자세와 같은 개인적 자원을 진로성취 과정에 활용하였으며 남편의 지지도 긍정적인 자원으로 작용한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this research was to identify the career experiences of high-educated professional women. Eleven women who engage in 5-10 years``s professional jobs were chosen, and they were interviewed individually. The data was analysed by Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). As a result, seven domains were extracted: career expectation, career choice, experiences as a employee, meaning of career experiences, career barrier, career value, resources used in career aspiration actualization process. Participants expected career aspiration highly at the occupation entering time, but they changed typically their career expectation by the experiences of the marriage, birth of children, and children caring. Also, all participants experienced interests and confidence on their work, and limitation as a career women typically. Participants coped with difficulties by the compromising generally, and typically they were satisfied. Also, participants used various resources in career achievement process, especially husband supports were helped in career achievement. Finally, the implications of findings are discussed.
