본 연구는 과중한 학업요구와 학업소진의 관계를 살피고, 이들 관계에서 학업적 자기효능감과 학업 적 실패내성이 매개변인으로서의 역할을 하는지를 검증하고자 하였다· 이를 위하여 수도권 소재 일반계 여자고등학생을 대상으로 설문조사였고, 총 200명의 자료를 분석하였다· 학업소진과 관련 변수 들의 관련성을 살펴 본 결과, 학업적 자기효능감과의 관련성이 가장 컸고, 학업적 실패내성, 과중한 학업요구 순으로 나타났다· 또한 매개검증을 실시한 결과, 학업적 자기효능감은 과중한 학업요구와 학업소진과의 관계를 부분매개하였고, 학업적 실패내성 역시 과중한 학업요구와 학업소진과의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다· 이러한 결과는 학업소진 예방과 극복에서 학업과 관련된 개인의 심리 내적 변인이 중요함을 시사하는 것으로, 생활지도 및 상담적 개입에서 학업적 자기효능감과 학업적 실패내성에 대한 평가와 이를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 함을 강조하였다.

This purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship between excessive academic demands and academic burnout and to test the mediating effects of academic self-efficacy and academic failure tolerance· 225 high school girls in the metropolitan area were surveyed and data from 200 students analyzed· Results indicated that excessive academic demands, academic self-efficacy, and academic failure tolerance significantly influenced academic burnout· The results of Baron & Kenny test showed partial mediating effects of academic self-efficacy and failure tolerance on the relationship between excessive academic demands and academic burnout· The implication for future studies and counseling practice were discussed based on the results of the present study· Finally, the study`s limitation and further discussion were suggested.
