상담을 공부하는 연구자 및 실무자들의 학술적인 모임인 한국상담학회의 양적인 성장과 함께 질적 인 수준의 도약을 위해서는 매년 개최되는 학술대회 프로그램들에 대한 분석이 필요하다· 본 연구 는 최근 3년간 개최된 학술대회의 여러 프로그램 중 워크숍 프로그램의 운영 현황을 살펴봄으로써 학회의 과거와 현재를 토대로 향후의 연차대회 워크숍 운영의 방향을 잡고, 체계화하는데 기초적인 자료를 구축하는데 목적이 있다· 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 기존의 상담연구 주제 분류 기준을 수정 보완한 후 2010년부터 2012년 동안 개최된 워크숍(130건)의 주제를 분석하였다· 분석을 통해 밝혀진 것은 다음과 같다· 첫째, 연차대회의 참석자수와 더불어서 워크숍의 개최 건수도 점차 증가하고 있었으나, 내용적인 측면에서는 특정 주제나 검사 중심의 워크숍이 반복적으로 개최되거나, 생애 초기 발달 단계에 속한 내담자군을 염두에 둔 상담 전략을 위주로 한 워크숍이 지나치게 많이 개최되는 문제점들이 나타났다· 둘째, 프로그램의 수준에 있어서 입문과정의 상담자들을 대상으로 하는 경우 가 많아 심화수준의 프로그램에 참여하려는 학회원의 기대에 부응하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다· 셋째, 상담학회원들에게 상담윤리, 제도 및 연구 방법 등에 대해 안내함으로써 연구와 실무, 그리고 이론을 겸비한 상담자로 성장할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 워크숍의 개최 건수는 상당히 적었으며, 새로운 주제를 다룬 워크숍들이 부족하였다· 이상의 결과를 토대로 향후 한국상담학회 연차대회 운영 과 관련된 몇 가지 제언을 한 후 본 연구의 시사점을 밝혔다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current managements of recent 3 years` annual conference workshop programs of Korea Counseling Association and to find out future improvement directions· After the foundations of Korea Counseling Association in 2000, the number of participants and programs of annual conference were gradually increased, but the level of programs were not matched with the need of participants· So in this article, researchers checked the topics of workshop programs during 3 years (2010-2012) and detected the issues and problems of annual conference to improve the quality of workshops and management system, To do this job, the standards of categories were needed· So the former criteria of counseling research topic were derived and revised for this study· 130 workshop programs were classified by 10 categories· The results were as follows; First, Despites of the increase of the amounts of participants and the programs, the level of programs were low and for the beginners of counseling· So to increase the participation of professionals and researchers in counseling, new contents of programs should be discovered and the level of workshops should be improved· Second, some workshops were provided repeatedly, so, new programs which deals various topics should be provided· Third, the bias of contents, narrow ranges of client`s ages, and rare openings of ethical issue, administration, research methodology workshops were discovered· The implications and suggestions of this study were proposed.
