이 논문은 우리 한시에 등장되는 하늘의 시어를 찾아서 그 이미저리를 탐색한 것이다. 한국 한시에는 황하문화권의 긴 역사를 통해 다듬어진 하늘의 시어들이 다양한 색채를 띠며 한시 속에 녹아 있다. 이 논문은 한국의 한시작가들이 만들어 놓은 시어모음집인『문자유집』을 중심으로 그 시어들의 이미저리가 시에서 어떻게 활용되고 있는가를 연구한 것이다. 한시에 있어서 하늘을 비유한 시어 창작 과정에는 수많은 심미적 상상력이 존재한다. 역대 한시 작가들은 하늘이란 한 이미지에 대한 수많은 다른 언어들을 창조해내고 있다. 그 시어들을 보면 비슷한 뜻의 언어지만 결코 같지 않는 언어의 결이 있다. 마음에 느껴지는 감수성의 차이에 따라 시어가 다듬어지고 그 시어에 따라 이미지가 일그러지기도 하고 굴곡 되기도 하여 다양한 미감을 자아낸다. 그 절묘한 표현이 사람을 감동시키고 미의 늪에 빠지게 만든다. 시는 이렇듯 언어예술이다. 고대 신화로부터 고금의 각종 문헌을 탐색하고 심미적 상상력을 통해 창안한 시어들의 형상화 속에는 다양한 미의식이 존재하고 있다. 시를 올바로 이해하기 위해서는 시어가 가지는 정확한 의미와 이미지를 알아야 한다. 이 논문에서는 이들의 시어가 함의하고 있는 하늘의 상징과 비유를 통해서 표현된 이미지들을 분석하여 한국한시의 미의식을 부각시키고자 노력했다. 한국한시에 녹아 있는 하늘의 시어는 하늘의 별 만큼이나 다양한 시어로 형상화 되고 있었다.
