본 연구는 자기 자신과 관계 속에서 나타나는 의존적인 성향에 대해 종속의존성에 근거하여 자신의 종속의존적인 경향을 객관적으로 측정하는 종속의존성 척도를 개발하는데 그 목적이 있었다. 이를 위하여 문헌연구와 선행연구 고찰 및 기존의 도구를 통해 종속의존성 구성요소를 살펴보고 구성요소가 포함된 70문항의 예비척도를 구성하였다. 내용타당도 확보를 위해 상담심리전문가 3인(박사학위소지자) 및 상담심리전공자(박사수료자) 3인에게 문항내용 및 표현의 적절성 등에 대한 내용타당도를 검증받은 자료를 수집한 후 요인분석을 통하여 요인과 신뢰도 및 타당도를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구대상으로 D광역시 소재 대학생 133명을 대상으로 요인분석을 실시하여 43문항의 1차 예비문항을 구성하였다. 2차 예비문항을 위한 연구대상은 D광역시 소재 645명의 대학생들이었다. 2차 요인 분석을 실시한 결과 총 36문항이 최종적으로 선정되었고 3개 요인이 추출되었다. 각 요인은 자존감 (15문항), 관계와 감정 표현(14문항), 책임감과 강박적 행동(7문항)으로 명명하였다. 수렴타당도를 확 인하기 위하여 대학생 125명에게 종속의존성 척도와 공동의존성 검사를 실시한 결과 상관계수는 .562로 유의한 정적 상관을 나타내었고 변별타당도를 검증하기 위한 종속의존성 검사와 자아존중감 검사를 실시한 결과 상관계수는 -.312로 부적상관을 나타내었다. 종속의존성 척도 전체에 대한 Cronbach의 α계수는 .935였고 3개 하위요인 각각은 .782～.896였으며, 반분신뢰도는 .880였고 3개 하 위요인 각각은 .767～.875였다. 이후 본 연구를 통해 개발된 종속의존성 척도의 연구의의와 제한점 및 추후연구에 대하여 기술하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop the codependency scale which objectively measures self-codependency based on codependence about dependent tendency in relationship and themselves. For this, the scale of 70 items was developed and they include each factor after examining the factors of codependency through document study, precedent study and previously used scale. To validate this study, I have tried to clarify the factors, reliability and validity through factor analysis after getting items and appropriateness of expressions proved by three counseling psychology experts(with Doctorate), and three other people who have majored counseling psychology. Factor analysis was administered to the samples of 133 university students in D city and the first 43 items were made. The second items were made from the samples of 645 university students in D city. Final 36 items were made as the result of factor analysis and three factors were extracted; factor 1(15 items) is called “self-esteem”, factors 2(14 items), “relationship and emotion expression”, factors 3(7items), “responsibility and obsessive behavior”. Codependency scale test and codepencency test were carried out to the samples of 125 university students to verify convergent validity and the result indicated that the scores .562 correlated with codepencency test positively and significantly. Cronbach` α to codependency scale was .935 and three subfactors were .782 ～ .896. In addition, the worth of codependency scale developed through this study, the limitation of this study and the study which would be continued more were discussed.
