본 연구는 1960년대 말 독일 사회학계에서 객관적 해석학이란 이름으로 시작하여 현재 독일에서 가장 폭넓게 활용되고 있는 구조해석학을 상담학의 연구방법론으로 도입하기 위한 시도이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 남편의 외도와 이혼요구로 인해 심한 갈등을 겪고 있는 한 전업가정주부를 구조해석학적 방법에 따라 상담한 사례연구를 소개하였다. 먼저 1년 여에 걸쳐 이루어진 상담과정을 구조해석학적 방법에 따라 3 단계로 구조화하였다. 첫 번째 단계는 초기 면담과정을 통해 얻은 기초자료를 근거로 하여 의문을 제기하는 것이며, 두 번째 단계는 기초자료에 대한 의미해석을 통해 문제해결의 실마리가 될 수 있는 구조가설을 창안하는 것이며, 세 번째 단계는 후속적인 상담 및 행동관찰을 통해 얻은 자료에 대한 의미해석을 반증원리를 통해 재구조화해가는 순차적 분석과정이다.

This study is an attempt to introduce the structural (or objective) hermeneutics which have broadly been used by German Sociologists from the late 1960`s, as a research methodology of counseling. For this purpose, this study consists of a case study that in the counseling of a housewife complaining of mental trouble because of her husband`s whoring and seeking a divorce, the structural hermeneutics is used as a method of counseling. The whole process of counseling implemented during almost one year is composed of three steps. The first step is to raise some questions on the ground of basic data gained through the early meeting. The second step is to originate a structural hypothesis by which the questions can be solved. The last step is the process of sequential analysis which restructures the structural hypothesis on the basis of the succeeding counseling.
