본 연구에서는 상담태도 측정에서 가장 널리 사용되어지고 있는 전문적 도움추구태도 단축형 척도(ATSPPH-SF; Attitudes toward seeking professional help Scale-Short Form)의 구인타당도를 점검하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전문적 도움추구태도 단축형 척도(ATSPPH-SF)의 요인구조를 재점검하였다. 탐색적요인분석(exploratory factor analysis)의 결과를 통해, 처음 만들어진 전문적 도움추구태도 단축형 척도(ATSPPH-SF)의 2요인으로 구성되어져 있다는 초기의 가설이 지지되지 않았으며 추후 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)의 결과해석을 통해 ``긍정태도와 필요성``과 ``부정태도와 불필요성``으로 이루어진 2개의 새로운 하위문항요인 구조가 확인되었고 기존의 도움추구 태도 단축형 척도의 대안적인 모형으로 제안되었다. 이는 한국인들의 상담태도를 측정하는데 있어 기존의 10문항 2요인 척도와는 차별화되는 본 연구에서 밝혀진 수정된 2요인의 전문적 도움추구태도 단축형 척도(ATSPPH-SF)를 사용하여 결과를 해석해야 함을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 추후 연구방향을 위한 제안을 한국의 사회, 문화적 맥락을 고려하여 논의하였다.

This study explores the construct validity of the Attitudes Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help Scale-Short Form(ATSPPH-SF) in Korean. ATSPPH-SF scale is a widely cited measure of mental health treatment attitudes. In this study, specifically, the factor structure of the ATSPPH-SF was examined. The result showed that the ATSPPH-SF evidenced adequate internal consistency. Factor-analytic findings demonstrated that a revised two factor model represented the data well rather than original two factor model of ATSPPH-SF. It is suggested that this revised two factor model of ATSPPH-SF may be applied to understanding Korean`treatment attitudes and behaviors. Finally, the implications of the findings are discussed in the context of the Korean social, cultural environment.
