본 연구는 지각된 부모 양육태도로서 심리적 통제, 돌봄, 행동적 통제가 자녀의 성취목표에 미치는 영향을 통해 부모 양육의 중요성을 확인하고, 이 과정을 개인 성격 특성으로서 강인성이 매개함을 밝히고자 하였다. 298명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고 수거된 279부 중에서 245명의 자료가 최종적으로 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, 어머니의 심리적 통제가 높을수록 자녀의 수행회피 목표가 높았고, 행동통제가 높을수록 수행접근목표가 높았다. 한편, 강인성의 하위변인인 몰입이 높을수록 자녀의 수행회피목표는 낮았다. 이에 어머니의 심리적 통제와 자녀의 강인성, 수행회피목표와의 관계를 종합적으로 살펴본 결과, 어머니의 심리적 통제가 자녀의 수행회피목표에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 강인성의 하위변인인 몰입이 매개함을 확인하였다. 부모 양육태도로서 어머니의 심리적 통제가 미치는 영향을 확인함과 동시에 자녀 입장에서는 부모의 영향력에서 벗어나 당면한 과제수행 자체에 몰입할 수 있도록 돕는다면, 수행회피목표를 낮출 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 위와 같은 내용을 중심으로 상담 및 교육장면에서 본 연구의 시사점을 논의하였고 제한점과 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relations of parental psychological control, behavioral control, care to students` achievement goal. Furthermore, this study tested if students` hardness would mediate the relations of maternal psychological control, behavioral control, care to achievement goal among 245 undergraduate students. The major results are as follows. First, maternal psychological control was significantly related to higher performance-avoidance goal. And maternal behavioral control was significantly related to higher performance-approach goal. Second, commitment was significantly related to lower performance-avoidance goal, Third, a series of mediation analyses revealed that the relations of maternal psychological control to performance-avoidance goal were mediated by students` commitment. It`s implication is future parents education should focus to reducing maternal psychological control. Also, the desirable attitude of counselor in effective helping is enhancing commitment.
