본 연구는 아동의 기질 및 부모간(間) 양육태도 일치도와 아동행동발달과의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 울산, 김해, 마산시(현 창원시)에 소재한 4개의 초등학교 1, 2학년 학생들과 그들의 부모들이었다. 학생들은 부모 양육태도 척도, 부모들은 아동기질 척도에 응답하였으며, 학생들의 담임교사가 행동발달척도의 평정자로 참여하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동의 기질에 따른 부모의 양육태도를 비교한 결과, 부모의 양육태도는 순한 기질의 아동과 까다로운 기질의 아동간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 아동기질에 따른 부모간 양육태도 일치도는 차이를 보였다(z=2.23, p<.05). 둘째, 부모간 양육태도 일치도와 아동의 기질에 따른 행동발달을 변량 분석한 결과, 아동기질의 주효과(F=3.70, p<.05)와 부모간 양육태도 일치도의 주효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났으나(F=5.20, p<.01), 아동 기질과 부모간 양육태도 일치도의 상호작용 효과는 유의하지 않았다. 부모의 양육태도 일치 여부가 아동의 행동 발달에 미치는 영향에 있어서는 순한 기질의 아동의 경우 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 까다로운 기질의 아동은 부모의 양육태도가 긍정형 일치인 집단의 행동발달 점수가 가장 높았고, 다음으로 불일치 집단과 혼합형 일치 집단의 점수가 높았으며, 부정형 일치집단의 점수가 가장 낮았다. 본 연구의 결과는 양 부모가 서로 협력하여 일관성 있는 태도를 갖는것이 자녀의 행동 발달에 중요함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of children``s temperament, inter-parental consistency of rearing attitude and children``s behavioral development. Children``s temperament was assessed using temperament questionnaire for children 3-7 years of age, parental rearing attitude perceived by the children was measured using parental rearing attitude instrument, and children``s behavioral development was assessed by teacher using a behavior rating scale for children. The subjects were 654 children(323 boys and 331 girls, 1st grade: 211, 2nd grade: 443) and their parents from four different elementary schools. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was no significant difference of parent``s rearing attitude between the difficult temperament children and easy temperament children. But there was significant difference of inter-parental consistency of rearing attitude(z=2.23, p<.05) between the difficult temperament children and easy temperament children. Second, the main effect of children``s temperament(F=3.70 0<.05) and inter-parental consistency of rearing attitude on children``s behavioral development was significant (F=5.20, p<.01). It``s implication is that the parents positive consistency on rearing attitude of children is important.
