본 연구는 최근 건강한 연인관계에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있어, 친밀감 형성이 주요 발달과업인 대학생의 관계적 자기의 모습과 연인관계 유형을 살펴보고, 이를 분류할 수 있는 연인관계 유형 검사를 개발하고자 진행되었다. 본 연구는 선행연구 개관을 통해 관계적 자기의 형성과 자기의 인식정도, 연인관계 속에서 나타나는 불안에 대처하는 방어기제에 따라 연인관계 유형을 구분하고, 이를 9명의 상담 및 심리 전문가들의 확인을 받은 후, 대학생들에게 내용을 검증하였다. 예비검사문항 60개를 다시 5명의 상담 및 임상심리 전문가에게 평정하도록 하여, 점수가 4점 미만인 문항을 삭제한 후 38문항을 구성하였다. 2차 예비검사에서는 121명의 검사결과를 요인분석하여 최종 5개 하위요인,25문항으로 결정하였다. 본 검사와 타당도 검증에서는 508명의 남녀 대학생들이 연애유형검사, 사랑스타일 검사, 애착유형 검사를 실시하였다. 우선, 25문항을 요인분석한 결과, 요인구조가 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 또, 다른 준거검사인 애착유형검사(Bartholomew et al., 1991), 사랑스타일검사(Hendrick& Hendrick, 1986)와의 상관 분석에서, 처음에 설정한 5개 하위요인의 개념이 타당하게 설명되고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 최종 구성된 연애유형 검사는 껍질형 5문항, 안개형 5문항, 난장이형 5문항, 산만형 5문항, 군림형 5문항으로 이루어져 있으며, 연인 관계에서 나타나는 관계적 자기의 모습 및 관계 속의 갈등과 고민을 잘 담아낼 수 있도록 구성되었다. 최종 결정된 검사문항과 유형별설명은 부록 1, 2에서 확인할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to develop love relationship scale based on relational self and love relationship style. In this study, former literatures about attachment style and love style theory were reviewed. To make preliminary scale items, 9 specialists in areas of counseling and therapy disscussed the thoery and items, then 78 university students discussed the love relationship style and suggested items. Next, 5 counselors and psychotherapists rated 60 items thinking if each item fit to each style subscale or not. After this, total 38 items were selected. Then, 121 university students completed 38-item survey, and factor analysis was conducted. After deleting items which don``t have factor scores, total 25 items were selected. Finally, 508 university students completed 25-item scale, lovestyle scale, and attachment scale. Results of factor analysis showed all 5 subscales have validatory items. Also, Results from correlation analysis with criteria scales showed 5 subscales have validatory contents. Final love relationship scales were as follow: bark style(5 items), fog style(5 items), dwarf style(5 items), compression style(5 items), reigning style(5 items).
