This study aimed to examine the mediation model of predictors of college students` internet addiction. Data for the investigation was obtained from 387, in Gwang-ju, Chonnam, and Seoul. The data was analysed using correlation and structural equation modeling analysis. The results were as follows: First, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between parent-adolescent communication and internet addiction. Second, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between family cohesion and internet addiction. Third, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between student adaptation and internet addiction. Fourth, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between interpersonal relationship and internet addiction. Fifth, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between self-control and internet addiction. Sixth, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between self-esteem and internet addiction. Seventh, a structural model of a partially mediation role of depression was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between escaping from the self and internet addiction. Implications for prevention of college students` internet addiction are discussed.
