본 연구는 대인갈등 상황과 부정적 역전이 상황에서의 대인반응들을 비교함으로써 두 상황 간에 어떤 유사점과 차이점이 있는지 비교해보는 것에 목적이 있다. 상담 관련 문헌들에서 상담관계의 특성들에 대해서 기술하고만 있을 뿐 일반적 대인관계와 상담관계가 어떻게 다른지를 실증적 자료를 통해서 비교한 연구는 없었다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 일반 대인갈등 상황과 부정적 역전이 상황을 비교함으로써 상담관계와 역전이에 대한 이해를 분명히 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 일반인 210명을 대상으로 대인갈등 상황에서의 자료를 수집하고, 상담자 114명을 대상으로 부정적 역전이 상황의 자료를 수집하였다. 두 상황에서 대인지각, 대인감정, 대인소망으로 이루어진 내현적 대인반응들을 서로 비교한 결과, 대인갈등 상황에서는 부정적 지각, 부정적 감정, 부정적 소망이 주된 반응들임에 비해 역전이 상황에서는 부정적 반응들 이외에도 내담자를 불안정/무력, 친애로 지각하고 연민/동정을 느끼며 보호/조력, 성장하고자 하는 소망도 함께 가지고 있음이 나타나 역전이 상황에서도 상담자들이 내담자를 돕고자 하는 상담자의 역할을 수행하기 위해 노력한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 일반 대인관계와는 다른 상담관계의 특성을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 본 연구의 결과가 지니는 의의와 제한점에 대해서도 논의하였다.

The literature on the counseling has been described that counseling relation is very important and has specific characteristics. The comparative study has not been tried how counseling relation is different from general interpersonal relation. The purpose of this study is to compare interpersonal responses between interpersonal conflict situation and negative countertransference situation. 210 persons` data of interpersonal conflict situation and 151 counselors` data of negative countertransference situation were analysed. It finds that negative perceptions, negative feelings and negative wishs are major interpersonal responses in the interpersonal conflict situation. On the other hand, counselors perceived clients as instability/helplessness and affiliation, and had compassion/sympathy feeling and growth & protect/help wishes as well as negative interpersonal responses in the negative countertransference situation. These results showed that counselors tried to protect and help their clients even in the negative countertransference situation. The results of this study revealed that counseling relation`s characteristics. In addition, the implications and the limitations of this study were discussed.
