본 연구는 지체장애인의 사회통합과 주관적 삶의 질간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연 구에서는 전국의 장애인복지관 및 관련 협회를 이용하는 지체장애인을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 315사례의 자료를 수집하였다. 예측변인들(사회통합, 사회적지지)과 주관적 삶의 질간의 관계를 확인 하기 위해서 공변량 구조분석방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 모형 분석 결과, 사회통합 정도가 높을수록, 사회적 지지가 높았으며, 그리고 사회통합 정도가 높을수록, 사회적 지지가 높을수록 지체장애 인들의 주관적 삶의 질이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 지지가 사회통합과 주관적 삶의 질간 의 관계를 매개하였다. 즉, 사회통합은 주관적 삶의 질을 높일 뿐만 아니라 사회적 지지를 통해서도 주관적 삶의 질을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의, 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study tested an explanatory model of the relationship between the social integration and subjective quality of life of the physically disabled person s (aged 18 over). The sample of this study included 315 physically disabled persons. It tested the effect of the social integration and social support on the subjective quality of life of the physical disabled persons. A structural model of a partially mediating role of social support was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship between antecedents variables (social integration and social support) and subjective quality of life of the physical disabled persons. Results from the structural equation model analysis showed that the hypothesized model fit to the data. The analysis showed that the more social integration increases, the more social support increases, and the more social integration and social support increases, the more subjective quality of life of the physical disabled persons increases. Also, the social support mediated the effects of the social integration to subjective quality of life of the physical disabled persons. That is, the social integration influenced directly the subjective quality of life of the physical disabled persons, and indirectly via the social support. Implications and suggestion for future studies were discussed.
