본 연구의 목적은 진로지도에 필요한 자료를 제공하기 위하여 우리나라 중?고등학생의 진로의식성숙 수준과 그에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하고자 한다. 연구의 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일에 대한 가치와 진로의식성숙은 어떤 상관이 있는지 분석한다. 둘째, 학년, 성별, 사회경제적 수준에 따라진로의식성숙은 어떤 차이를 보이는지 살펴본다. 셋째, 이들 요인중에서 진로의 식성숙을 보다 잘 설명해줄 수 있는 요인을 분석한다. 연구대상은 대구광역시에 소재하는 남?여 중학교와 인문계 고등학교 각각 1개교를 표집하여 중1, 중3, 고2 새 학생 600명을 무선표집하여 진로의식성숙 검사와 일에 대한가치관 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과를 보면, 첫째, 전체적으로 볼 때 일에 대한 내적 가치와 진로의식성숙간의 상관정도는 낮은 편이었다. 그러나 일에 대한내적 가치에 대한 점수가 높을수록 진로의식성숙 점수도 높아지는 정적인 상관을 보였으며(P<.05),일에 대한 외적가치와 진로의식성숙은 의의 있는 상관은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학년과 진로의식성숙간의 관계에서 학년이 높을수록 진로의식성숙은 조금씩 높아졌으나 통계적인 의의는 없었다. 성별에 따른 진로의식성숙은 통계적으로 매우 의미 있는 수준에서 여학생이 남학생보다 높게 나타났다. 그리고 사회경제적 수준이 상위집단일수록 진로의식성숙이 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 진로의식성숙을 예언하는데 기여하는 요인을 알아보기 위해 단계적 중다회귀 분석을 실시한 결과, 사회경제적 수준, 일에 대한 내적 가치, 일에 대한 외적 가치, 성별, 학년 등이 있음이 밝혀졌다. 예언변인으로서의 기여도는 낮았으나 사회경제적 수준, 일에 대한 내적 가치, 일에 대한 외적 가치가 의의 있는 것으로 나타났다(P<.05)
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the career maturity level of Korean middle and high school students and related variables such as work values, grade, gender and socio-economic status, and to provide basic materials that can be some help in career guidance and counseling. The samples consisted of 600 students (300 boys and 300 girls) from 7th grade, 9th grade and 11th grade students in Taegu, Korea. Students were administered the Career Maturity Inventory(CMI) by Crites and the Work Value Inventory(WV1) by Super. The CMl and WVI are self-reported written instruments. For the statistical analysis, Pearson`s coefficient correlation, ANOVA, t-test and stepwise multiple regression by SAS program have been applied. The results of this study were as follows: First, the correlation between the career maturity and intrinsic work values such as altruism, intellectual stimulation showed statistically significant positive correlation at p<.05level. Second, the career maturity level was positively related with the variables such as gender and socio-economic status levels. Third, variables affecting career maturity were prioritized. in the following order: Socio￢economic status, intrinsic work values, extrinsic work values, gender and grade.
