이 연구에서는 청소년 행동문제에 대한 청소년 평가와 교사 평가간 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 청소년 행동문제에 관한 이론적, 경험적 연구와 평가척도들을 검토하여, 청소년 행동문제 영역 14개를 선정하였으며, 각 영역별로 청소년 평가와 교사 평가의 요인구조를 비교하고, 청소년 평가와 교사 평가간 관계를 검증하였다. 문헌조사, 자유반응조사, 전문가 자문의 과정을 거쳐 선정된 행동문제 문항 397개로 청소년 자기보고형과 교사보고형 평가지를 구성하였다. 중·고등학생 440명과 교사 157명으로부터 수집한 자료에 대한 요인분석의 결과, 청소년 평가와 교사 평가에서 우울, 불안, 정신병적 문제, 섭식문제, 신체화 증상, 인터넷 중독, 주의산만-과잉행동, 학업문제, 진로문제, 공격성, 교사와의 갈등, 가족관계문제가 동일한 요인구조를 갖는 반면에, 비행과 또래관계문제는 상이한 요인구조로 나타났다. 청소년평가와 교사평가간 상관이 유의한 요인들은 지위비행, 학교부적응, 인터넷 중독, 우울, 부모와의 갈등, 섭식문제, 또래괴롭힘(가해), 교사와의 갈등, 진로미결정, 과다행동-충동성, 학업수행곤란이었다. 한편 교사가 평가한 인터넷 중독, 시험불안, 진로의식부족은 청소년이 평가한 전반적 행동문제를 예측하는 유의한 요인들로 밝혀졌다. 청소년 상담과 심리평가에 있어서 평가자간 불일치 문제를 다루어야 할 필요성에 관하여 논의하였다.
This study examined the teacher-student agreement in the assessment of adolescent behavior problems by conducting factor analyses, correlation analyses, and multiple regression analyses. Through the literature review, free-response surveys with adolescents, teachers and parents, and consultation with teachers and professionals in adolescent counseling, 397 items descriptive of adolescent behavior problems were selected. Four-hundred forty adolescents and 157 teachers participated. The factor structures in depression, anxiety, psychotic problems, eating problems, somatic symptoms, internet addiction, attention deficit-hyperactivity, learning problems, career problems, aggression, conflict with teachers, and family relations were similar in both teachers` and adolescents` assessments. In contrast, delinquency and peer relations had different factor structures. The correlations between teachers` and adolescents` assessments of behavior problems were significant in 11 factors(i.e., status delinquency, school maladjustment, internet addiction, depression, conflict with parents, eating problems, bullying, conflict with teachers, career indecision, hyperactivity-impulsivity, learning difficulties). Teacher-rated internet addiction, test anxiety, and lack of career awareness were significant predictors of adolescent-rated overall behavior problems. The results imply that it be necessary to address issues regarding inter-rater agreement in the assessment of adolescent behavior problems.
