Many college students in need of psychological assistance prefer to talk about their problems with peers rather than to seek professional services because they lack information on counseling. So it is essential to improve student`s understanding of counseling and readiness for counseling. This study focused on developing a visual material for improving college student`s counseling readiness and tested it`s effectiveness. A 13-minute vidieo clip has been developed. The video clip contains information on counseling and client`s attitude toward counseling. A significant difference was found between treatment group and control group on counseling motivation, openness and general readiness. Post hoc analysis revealed that motivation, responsibility for counseling, knowledge of counselor`s expertness and acceptance, understanding of counseling, emotion about counseling, and general readiness were improved in treatment group after watching the material.
