본 연구는 고등학생을 대상으로 Holland의 6가지 직업적 성격유형 집단별 의사결정방식의 특징과 집단간 차이를 분석하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 의사결정과 관련된 정보접근방식과 문제해결방식 측정을 위한 검사를 구성하였으며, 고등학교 1학년 602명을 대상으로 Holland 진로탐색검사와 의사결정방식 검사를 실시하였다. 교차분석 및 성격유형 집단(6)×분화도 수준(3)의 이원변량분석 방법을 사용하여 통계적 분석을 수행하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, Holland의 직업적 성격유형에 따라 정보접근방식과 문제해결방식은 서로 차이가 있었다. 탐구형(I)은 예측적 문제해결방식, 예술형(A)은 독창적 문제해결방식을, 사회형(S)은 언어적 정보접근방식, 기업형(E)은 낙천적 문제해결방식, 관습형(C)은 장의존적 문제해결방식에 높은 선호도를 보였다. 둘째, 분화도 수준은 학생들의 직업적 성격유형 및 의사결정방식과 관련하여 분류의 적절성을 향상시키는데 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 논의를 통하여 결과에서 나타난 특징들을 Holland의 성격유형론에 비추어 그 의미를 탐색하였으며, 본 연구의 제한점과 의의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study was conducted to analyze how high school students, according to Holland`s vocational personality type, established their decision making patterns. For achieving these objects, in advance, a Decision Making Patterns Test was made to measure ‘information accessing methods`` and ‘problem solving methods``. Holland`s Self-Direct Search and Decision Making Patterns Test were administered to 602 high school students. Crosstabs and Two-way ANOVA were used to analyze collected data. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were statistically significant differences between information accessing methods and problem solving methods according to Holland`s vocational personality type: Investigative type students preferred predictive problem solving method. Artistic types preferred creative method. Social types preferred communicative method. Enterprising types preferred optimistic method and Conventional types preferred field-dependence method. Second, it showed that the Differentiation level of personality type can improve appropriateness in classifying decision making patterns which associated to each personality types. Major findings of this study were discussed in relation to Holland`s personality type theory. Finally, the limitation and implication of this study were presented.
