본 연구는 대학생들의 자기분화 수준과 자아존중감 및 의사결정 유형의 관계를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 대학생들의 자기분화와 자아존중감 및 의사결정 유형 간에는 어느 정도 관계가 있는지 알아보기 위하여 상관분석을 실시하였고, 둘째, 대학생들의 자기분화와 자아존중감이 의사 결정유형을 어느 정도 설명할 수 있는지 알아보기 위하여 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 충남 지역의 S대학교 남ㆍ녀 학생 247명을 대상으로 자기분화 검사, 자아존중감 검사와 의사결정유형 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 자기분화와 자기존중감은 의사결정유형과 유의한 상관을 보였다. 즉, 자기분화와 자기존중감은 합리적 의사결정 유형과 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였으나, 직관적 유형 및 의존적 유형과는 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 가족퇴행, 정서적 단절, 인지ㆍ정서적 기능, 자아통합은 합리적 의사결정 유형을 유의미하게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났고, 직관적 의사결정 유형을 유의미하 게 예측하는 변인으로는 인지ㆍ정서적 기능과 자아존중감으로 나타났다. 또한 의존적 의사결정 유형을 유의미하게 예측하는 변인으로는 자아통합, 가족투사 및 자아존중감으로 나타났다. 그 외에 몇 가지 논의와 제안이 제시되었다.

The study is to investigate the relationship among the self-differentiation, the self-esteem and the decision-making style of the university students. 247 students administered the Self-differentiation scale, the Self-esteem scale and the Decision-making Style scale. The Pearson correlation analysis and the Regression analysis were occupied to test the research questions. The results of the study were: first, the relationships among the self-differentiation, the self-esteem and the decision-making style were statistically significant, that is, while the self-differentiation was positively correlated to the rational decision-making style, it was negatively correlated to the intuitive decision-making style and the dependent decision-making style. And while the self-esteem was positively correlated to the rational decision-making style, the self-esteem was negatively correlated to the dependent decision- making style. Second, the subscale of self-differentiation, that is, the family regression, the emotional cut-off, the cognitive-affective function, and the self integration explained 17.5% of the rational decision-making style, the cognitive-affective function and the self-esteem explained 15.1% of the intuitive decision-making style. And the self integration, the family projection and the self-esteem explained 17.0% of the dependent decision-making style. Discussions and suggestions were followed.
