본 연구의 목적은 초기 청소년의 학기 중 비행과 방학 중 비행 간의 차이 및 방학 중 일상활동 및 환경요인의 방학 중 비행에 대한 영향을 살펴봄으로써 청소년의 방학생활 지도에 도움이 되는 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 초등학교 5학년부터 중학교 3학년까지의 1027명을 대상으로 학기 중 및 여름 방학 직 후에 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 방학 중 비행점수가 학기 중 비행점수보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 방학 중 비행은 청소년의 독서, 배회, 아르바이트 등의 일상활동과 어머니 감 독, 친구의 비행, 유해환경 근접성에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 방학은 학기 중보다 비행발생이 높은 시기임을 밝혀준 점과 방학 중 비행예방은 방학 중 일상활동지도 및 어머니의 감독, 또래관계 지도, 지역사회 차원의 지원을 통해 이뤄질 수 있음을 밝힌 점이다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the difference between the session delinquency and the vacation delinquency and to examine the effect of the usual activities and environmental variables such as maternal monitoring, peer`s delinquent behavior, teacher`s regulation, and proximity of harmful facilities on the delinquency within the vacation in early adolescence. Subjects were 1027 5th, 6th grade in elementary school students and 1st~3rd grade in middle school students. The data were collected by twice survey. 1st data were collected just before the vacation. 2nd data were collected the beginning of the session. The data were analyzed by repeated MANOVA, Pearson`s correlation, and multiple regression. The results were as follows. The scores of delinquency within the vacation were significantly higher than those within the session regardless of the sex and grades. The delinquency within the vacation was effected the usual activities such as reading, wandering, and part time job and environmental variables such as peer`s delinquent behavior, maternal monitoring, and proximity of harmful facilities. The implications of these findings for preventing adolescent`s delinquency within the vacation are discussed.
