The purpose of this study was to test the difference in pattern coefficients on the other(past-current)· self(past-current)·introject surface between the internalized shame group and the comparison group through Structural Analysis of Social Behavior(SASB). This analysis was conducted through the following stages. First, ISS scale and SASB Intrex data were collected and divided by ISS scores into two groups-the internalized shame featured group(30% from the highest rank, cut-off is the raw score of 84) and the comparison group(30% from the lowest rank, cut-off is the raw score of 36). Second, the pattern of other(past-current)·self(past-current)· introject surface about ISS featured group was analysed through SASB computerized program. The results of this study are as follows. The patterns of the ISS featured group in SASB model indicated that the ISS featured group perceived both past mother and current significant other as both controlling and emancipating manners. Also, the ISS featured group responded to be freeing for mother`s behavior in the past and responded to be walling off for significant`s behavior in the current. In introject, the ISS featured group showed self attack pattern. The implications of this study are as follows. First, Whenever counselors have identified shame as one of the key problem-emotions in their clients, the present data suggest they should be on the lookout for expectations and perceptions of both controlling and emancipating manners from clients. This conjecture would be true whether the present data represent general social perception coloured by shame, or assuming as in psychodynamic treatment theory that interactions with significant others tend to be transferred to the counselor.
