The appropriate design of frontal driver seat cushion by the distribution of the contact pressure evenly and reduction of the peak pressure and the high contact pressure area is very important in order to prevent accident and backache. Therefore, this paper proposes the systematic method by the analysis of variable (ANOVA) and statistical testing to evaluate pressure distribution of frontal driver seat cushion on 1600cc automobiles. In this paper, TACTILUS Mat-Type was used to measure the pressure distribution of frontal driver seat cushion and selected 10 healthy persons and 3 types of 1600cc automobiles. In the result of this paper, pressure distribution of backrests was proved significant (α=0.05). Finally, C type backrest was proved the most comfortable and safety seat cushion chair through analysis of variable.
