본 연구는 동화 애플리케이션을 활용한 읽기활동이 지적장애학생의 읽기 능력 및 읽기 태도에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. D시에 소재하는 특수학교의 중학교 1학년에 재학 중인 3명의 지적장애학생에게 총 16차시에 걸쳐 중재를 하였다. 읽기 능력은 대상자간 중다기초선 설계를 사용하고 읽기 태도는 사전·사후 검사를 통해 변화를 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동화 애플리케이션을 활용한 읽기활동이 지적장애학생의 읽기 유창성 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 동화 애플리케이션을 활용한 읽기활동이 지적장애학생의 독해력 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 동화 애플리케이션을 활용한 읽기활동이 지적장애학생의 읽기 태도에도 긍정적인 효과가 있었다.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of reading activity utilizing the children`s story applications on reading ability and reading attitude of students with intellectual disabilities. The 3 students with intellectual disabilities who are in the first year of special middle school in D city were tested 16 times. The multiple baseline design was used across subjects for the reading ability measurement and the ex ante and ex post analysis for the reading attitude measurement. The conclusion of this research is as follows. Firstly, the reading activity through children`s story applications had a positive effect on improving reading fluency of the students with disabilities. Secondly, the reading activity through children`s story applications had a positive effect on improving the students` reading comprehension. Thirdly, the reading activity through children`s story applications had a positive effect on reading attitude of the students` with disabilities.
