본 연구에서는 집단원의 대화독점이라는 문제상황에서 초심 집단상담자와 숙련 집단상담자의 자기 대화 내용에 어떠한 차이가 존재하는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 집단원의 대화독점 문제상황이 담긴 집단상담 동영상 자극을 제작하였고, 집단상담자 28명(초심 15명, 숙련 13명)이 동 영상 속 집단지도자의 입장으로 이입하여 동영상을 시청하는 동시에 자기대화를 말로 보고하도록 하였다. 수집된 839개의 자기대화는 상담전공 박사수료 평정자 2명이 Hines(1993)의 집단상담자 자기 대화 범주 목록에 따라 평정하였다. 참여자들의 자기대화 빈도 및 비율분석을 실시하고 독립표본 t- 검증으로 경력에 따른 차이를 분석한 결과, 먼저 집단원의 대화독점 상황에서 초심 집단상담자는 숙련 집단상담자보다 관찰의 자기대화 비율이 높게 나타나, 초심 집단상담자는 숙련 집단상담자보 다 관찰에 더 많은 인지적 자원을 할당한다는 결과를 확인하였다. 또한 숙련 집단상담자는 초심 집 단상담자보다 집단원 및 집단과정에 대한 해석, 개입에 대한 성찰, 집단과정에 대한 성찰의 빈도와 비율이 높게 나타나, 숙련 집단상담자가 초심 집단상담자보다 해석, 개입 및 집단과정에 대한 성찰 을 더 많이 하며 인지적 자원 또한 더 많이 할당한다는 결과를 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바 탕으로 집단상담자의 자기성찰의 발달적 특성에 대해 논의하였고, 집단상담자 교육에 대한 시사점 을 제시하였다.

The purpose of the study is to identify the differences between self-talk done by novice and experienced group counselors in a problematic situation where a group member monopolizes the group. The researcher made a movie clip about monopolizing. 28 group counselors; 15 novice, 13 experienced participated to speak out their inner self-talks while watching the movie clip as if they are the group leader. 2 independent coders coded 839 self-talks using the suggested categories by Hines (1993). The difference of frequency and ratio of novice and experienced self-talks were analyzed by students` t-test. According to the results, the ratio of observation on the novice was higher than that of the experienced, and it can be inferred that the novice group counselors spend more time and attention on observations than experienced group counselors. Also, in the categories of interpretation and intervention on group member and group process, self-talk of group process, the frequency and ratio of the experienced was higher than that of the novice. It can be inferred that the experienced group counselors spend more cognitive resources on interpretation, intervention and reflecting on the group process.
