본 연구는 한국상담학회의 발전에 중요한 역할을 하는 연차학술대회의 학술 논문 발표 프로그램의 내용과 운영 현황을 살펴봄으로써 향후 연차학술대회 운영에 필요한 여러 방안을 도출하는데 목적 이 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존의 상담 연구 동향 분석에 활용된 분류기준을 수정 보완 하였으며, 이를 토대로 2010년부터 2012년까지 연차학술대회에서 발표된 논문 258편을 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 학회원의 참여도는 높아졌으나, 학술 논문 발표자의 수는 증가하지 않았고, 대학 교 수 및 기관의 연구 논문 발표 건수도 많지 않았다. 둘째, 연구 주제(성격 특성 및 적응 연구) 및 대 상(아동 및 청소년, 대학생)의 편중 현상이 나타났다. 셋째, 연구 방법 측면에서 볼 때 양적 연구방법을 많이 활용하고는 있었지만 점차적으로 질적 연구방법을 적용한 논문들의 비율이 증가하고 있었다. 넷째, 시대의 변화에 부응한 연구 주제나 새로운 연구 방법론을 활용한 논문을 발표한 경우는 극히 드물었으며, 현장에서 요구되는 이론을 개발하는 연구도 상당히 적었다. 이를 통해 상담 연구 자들이 관습적으로 연구에 임하고 있음이 드러났으며, 추후에는 상담현장과 상담 연구 간의 간극을 메꾸려는 연구자들의 노력이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 향후 한국상담학회 연차학술대회 학술 논문 발표 프로그램의 운영과 관련된 몇 가지 제언과 연구의 시사점을 밝혔다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current managements of 3 years` annual paper presentation programs of Korea Counseling Association and to find out future improvement directions. After revising research topic categories, researchers analyzed the 258 papers during 3 years (2010-2012). The results were as follows; First, despites the increase of participants, the number of paper presentation who were professors or researchers were not high percent. Second, paper were very concentrated on the topic of characteristic and adjustment and subjects of child, adolescents and college students. Thirds, many researchers used the method of statistics, but qualitative methods were increasingly used. Fourth, new topics which deals the contemporary issues, new research methodology or research of theoretical development were very rare. It means that counseling researchers have very conventional attitude on research, so do more challenge to bridge counseling fields and counseling research. The implications and suggestions of this study were proposed.
