본고는 한국어 화행 교육의 필요성과 중요성에 입각하여 한국어 요청 화행 유형을 설정하였다. 한국어 초급 교재 4종 총 12권에 나타난 요청 화행 표현을 유형별로 정리하고 교재에서 나타난 요청 화행 교육 실태를 분석해 보았다. 교재 분석을 통한 한국어 요청 화행 교육의 문제점을 정리해 보면 첫째, 적절한 요청 표현을 할 수 있는 담화 상황 제시가 빈약하다. 둘째, 한국어 초급 교재의 요청 화행 전략 표현이 문법 학습으로만 제시되어 있다. 요청 화행은 학습자가 초급 단계부터 배우게 되는 중요한 화행이므로 한국어 교재에서는 요청 담화 상황에 맞는 화행 표현 전략을 사용하여 교재의 내용을 구성해야 하며 다음과 같은 점을 고려해야 한다. 첫째, 초급 문법에 목표 문법의 기본 문형과 함께 화행적 기능이 있는 문형을 제시해야 한다. 둘째, 초급 교재에 한 가지 화행 기능만이 아닌 여러 기능이 함께 있는 대화문을 제시해야 한다. 셋째, 교재에서 다양한 요청 표현을 사용함으로써 학습자들이 요청 화행을 성공적으로 수행할 수 있도록 해야 한다.

The purpose of this study was to establish patterns of Korean request speech acts based on the necessity and importance of Korean request speech acts. In order to accomplish this research purpose it classified the patterns of request speech acts expressions from the twelve books (four types) of beginner-level Korean and evaluated how the request speech acts education is implemented in the materials. The problems of Korean request speech acts education in the Korean education materials for beginners lie in the poor provision of discourse situation for proper expression of request and strategic expression of request speech acts is provided only in grammar. Therefore, followings should be taken into account when developing Korean education materials for beginners. The findings of data analysis showed that 1) for beginners` grammar, sentence patterns with speech acts function as long as the basic sentence patterns should be provided. 2) in the beginner-level materials, multi-functional conversation sentences should be provided, instead of only one speech acts function, and 3) learners should be able to perform request speech acts successfully by using diverse request expressions.
